Just to be even a little selfish and think of himself for once before other people, before you. But you know you couldn't ask that from him, or you could and he wouldn't listen. It was natural in his heart to protect those who needed it, because he knew there was no one else who could do it, not to his care and extent.

It sucks that the very same traits that made you fall inlove with him are the ones that make you cry at your worst.

I think that when he tells you he's Spiderman, he also confesses to you that he likes you. It's a two in one package deal! But of course, you knew Miles Morales before you knew Spiderman, and goodness did you love the boy under the suit more than the persona he wore with it on.

You've had to restrict his daytime Spidey visits though, if enough people take note that Spidermans been visiting YOUR room when you and Miles start dating.. it could spark some rumours. (it doesn't stop him, he does it anhway)

And they confide in each other about their problems, creating a really strong bond - They still definitely enjoy fighting though, since they are at about an equal level, making it a fun challenge - Before they became friends, whenever Samuel would show up somewhere (at like a Solaire event or sm) with Vivienne after they'd gotten some kind of treat (slushie etc) Samuel would bring him a lemon snack, and lemon is Adrian's favourite flavour :3 obviously Adrian pretends to be pissed off but he really does appreciate it Now how do their parents feel? Alexis hates everything about them hanging around each other. She repeatedly invokes Adrian to stay away from him and push him away, but Samuel finds a way around the invokation, using their blood bond (yes theyre blood bonded ooooh) to skirt around it Sam? He's kind of unsure at first, and doesn't really trust Adrian, but he warms up to it, and supports Adrian whenever he comes to their house for help or just to hang around. He makes Samuel and Adrian hot cocoa when it's cold out :3 and he's happy that his son is helping Adrian out, even if they had initially been fighting because of their parents' feud. Leaving Bakugou—essentially the vanguard, out on a mission!!! so what i think Reader doesn’t realise, when she’s kicking off her sandals at Grandma’s door and brushing the sand off and getting dinner ready while the TV blares out behind her is that—Bakugou doesn’t just go back to some nice charming little seacave filled with like, seaglass that reflects watercolour lights on the walls. He doesn’t get to go to sleep on a bed of seaweed when Reader’s curling into her pillow, with the window open behind her. He’s out there in the dark, keeping watch for something in the water that shouldn’t be there. Maybe there’s a handful of others with him, all of them spread out. But the point is that he is very much embroiled in something beyond us, and that those like… golden, in-between hours we have with him are stolen, on both our parts. 🌅🌾

for starters, my mbti is intj-t and my enneagram is 5w6 if it helps!

i'd say that i am a person of routine. i like to follow through a schedule or routine because i do think that really helps me structure my day. it does get to the point that i neglect my own health because i prioritize getting a task done for the day. i also hate changing plans last minute, so i feel guilty when i do that sometimes.

in terms of personality, i'd say i'm pretty introverted, so i really need someone else to approach me first. when i open up to someone, i try my best to help and support them as much as i can, even if they don't know. i'm not really one to show my affections blatantly like saying it out loud so i guess you can say my love languages are acts of service and quality time!!

in my spare time, i like to draw, write, read and play games. one thing i want to get into but unfortunately, have not succeeded in yet is cooking. god knows what happens when you give me a pan (i'd probably give myself food poisoning).

GENSHIN IMPACT ---- HEIZOU SHIKANOIN

⋆｡ﾟ☁︎｡⋆｡ ﾟ☾ ﾟ｡⋆ heizou isn't the easiest person to impress — so kudos to you that you're able to attract his attention. as someone who has seen his fair share of intriguing dynamics that tend to get people, like clients of the tenryou commission, in sticky situation, he rarely gets invested in relationships and whatnot. you, however, were definitely testing this resolve of his. he definitely approaches you first, and though your first meeting was admittedly awkward, you both grew to mutually respect each other very much! sometimes, heizou would go to you with a case and ask for your input — even if he already got it all figured out, he honestly just wants an excuse to talk to you. as a partner, heizou remembers every single detail you tell him about yourself like its just abcs to him that he immediately knows what to get you. he's much more extroverted compared to you, so he definitely would inch you towards stepping out of your comfort zone. expect a lot of unorthodox date ideas from him, tbh. but heizou is also a very perceptive guy and knows when enough is enough for your comfort. when you mentioned how much you liked solving mysteries, he sometimes would bring you along on simple cases (as long as it was safe ones, he wouldn't want to put you through unnecessary danger). when he sees you staying past midnight to finish yet another task, he would offer to help you or just stay up to keep you company. for one of those times he goes the extra mile for you, heizou would organize a whole murder mystery party and invite some of your mutual friends for a fun time. he also constantly affirms how intelligent he finds you to be! thank goodness both of you haven't gotten the time to cook for each other but heizou usually brings you snacks like dango and milk tea.

⋆｡ﾟ☁︎｡⋆｡ ﾟ☾ ﾟ｡⋆ tsukishima found you to be too quiet during your first meeting. he barely knew anything about you because you weren't exactly the type who'd volunteer personal information, but it was a pretty good change of pace compared to when he's around his karasuno teammates. tsukishima is notably quite antagonistic to almost everyone, but with you, it ends up becoming a banter of sorts, with both of you not really holding any ill towards the other. he admires your tenacity and your commitment to stick to a routine, which is one of the many things that contributed to his gradual affection towards you. yamaguchi though is probably the one who makes him realize this, lol. tsukki probably would be too dense to realize the crush. as a partner, tsukishima isn't very showy with his affection. he prefers not to display his relationship with you in public, as he prefers to keep things with you as more solemn and private. though tsukishima gradually opens to holding your hand in public — at first, he says that it's because he wants to make sure you don't get lost, but his teammates clearly see right through this excuse. he's the definition of grumpy that softens around the person he likes, as he lets you see his vulnerable and softer side. though you may end up bantering still, it's still more of in a teasing way rather than an antagonistic kind. tsukishima has some strong opinions and so do you, so the both of you respect each other's wishes very well and find a common ground or compromise around date ideas. he's not the surprise type of person, but date ideas from him are often meticulously planned, as he understands that you like you a semblance of a routine.

Everyone here is a little anxious ! Some part of me believes that anyone that makes it into an rpc space on tumblr has a little bit of anxiety ! It’s almost like our membership card 💕

That being said, writing takes effort from both parties. You are allowed to be anxious and your feelings are valid. But if you don’t meet your peers half-way, yet you’re upset that you’re not really getting interactions, you may wonder why. Now, if you’ve gone back on your DMs and realized that you really didn’t give your fellow writers enough to work with in terms of plotting… babe, you might be the culprit in why your notifs are dry !

I haven’t had to deal with this type of writer in about two years - so this isn’t directed at anyone in my following currently. But it’s true and someone has to say it: some writers want to write, but they don’t put in much effort behind the scenes. And often times, it’s due to nervousness - or sometimes , because you’re not sure about what your character would do / want in a given scenario. I’m fuckin nervous too , messaging someone I’ve never met before ! That’s where brainstorming comes in ✨ We all get starry-eyed with certain writers , and we put them up on a pedestal. favorite thing about them: Kaeya's just so damn cool, genuinely the most interesting Mondstadt character with a ton of foreshadowing set up for his relevance and even that isn't as important as just how complex but likeable he is? Everything from how everyone knows Kaeya's smiles are fake (even to kids!) to the fact that he's so competent despite being a cavalry captain with no cavalry... we stan a babygirl who can get the upper hand on just about anyone. I love that he's kind of an asshole in Venti's story quest to Diluc, LMAO it just shows a side of him we don't often see.

nOTP: I could just take the easy route and say k*luc but honestly I hate every other ship involving Kaeya because I have ship blinders on for every ship I'm really invested in. I Do Not Perceive them with other characters.

random headcanon: Kaeya can't cook and from the fact that he grew up with a rather privileged life, I like to think he'd learn a lot from Childe about how to take care of himself. Also that Kaeya sneaks Childe into the Favonius Headquarters barracks from time to time...

unpopular opinion: hmm. I feel like people dismiss Kaeya as a jerk at times but forgive other characters for being jerks in the exact same way/dismiss him as an irrelevant starter character. Like there is no other character in Genshin, to me, that has as many secrets as him. I think it's premature to write him off in any capacity!!

long/detailed version: see this is what i don’t understand. so my mom showed me what my cousin posted earlier,and this is what she shows me. like she made a similar post a few weeks ago about how her aunt she hasn’t seen in 6 yrs won’t see her. and i asked my mom that day of the post were u and her talking?and she said no,so either 1. she was lying or 2. she was talking about her other aunt,and like i told my mom. she probably says yes cuz she has a life. she has children to take care of,dogs to walk and feed,a family to feed,a job. heaven forbid she wants to take care of her children and animals. the nerve.

but its funny how she says we make it excuses why WE can’t visit HER. but she DOESN’T need to come to US. its just as bad as my aunt(her mom). WE must call,WE must drive or find a way up there. but THEY never have to do the same in return. why?how is that fair?why must we only do it,but u never have to? i’ve said it before and i said it again,my aunt has visited my brother and ONCE since in our lives. so out of 18 yrs,u visited us once?wowwww. kudos to u. and all we did on that visit was meet her bf at the time,eat out at a resturant,he drove us back up,she hugged my brother and i,gave us $20 and then she and her bf left. wow,such a fun moment. we ate,and got money and u dipped. great memories. but hey,i’ll give it to my aunt,that she at least visited. my cousin who posted this on the other hand has visited us ZERO times. and if my cousin or aunt don’t feel comfortable driving up here or they aren’t able to find a way up here,then fine. like i can’t find a way up there either as 1. don’t drive and 2. no-one would drive me up there. but like if they don’t wanna drive up here or they can’t find someone to ask, to visit me or my family then DON’T say my family and i don’t. thats hypocritical for starters,so. but yeah like if they don’t wanna do the driving thing,we can 1. write letters to each other,2. email each other,3. videochat with each other,etc. did they ever both asking to do any of those things?nope. for someone it was either a physical visit or we’re bad ppl. kinda like how i was a bad person for not going to my grandmothers funeral,cuz at the time my work was understaffed and they need advance notice about pto but my cousins response was “they’ll understand, since its for a funeral”,and its like thats not how that works. i’m not going to make the rest of my workplace suffer for 1. and for 2. i didn’t have a lot of pto days left. just cuz YOU like wasting them on concerts,and anime cons(which i don’t get why she goes,considering she doesn’t even like anime,manga,or vocaloid and the only thing closest to liking it is pikachu so not only is she wasting time and money to go,she is also taking a spot/ticket for someone that actually likes it. i mean i guess furries go there and she’s one,so that might be one. but a lot of furries are also in the anime fandom,so. but i digress.) srry i like keeping my pto’s. i mean yes it was important but my mom and step-dad got lost,so i would’ve taken off for no reason,as i wouldn’t have been able to even see it anyways,so.

but yeah,basically cause my mom and i don’t wanna waste our PTO’s to visit a family that is hypocritcal and hateful(minus my grandfather. he would be the only reason to go),and because we don’t drive,nor can we find someone willing to drive 6 hrs for the visit we’re bad ppl. yet this is the same cousin and aunt who won’t write a letter,write an email,videochat with us,won’t drive to us or find someone to drive the 6 hrs either, won't video chat with any of us,etc. also i know i’ve said this before, but i’ll say it again as well. like i never expected anything from my cousin as she was a child growing up,until a few years ago so this is mainly directly targeted at my aunt. so out of 18 yrs no birthday/christmas cards/gifts. heck not even a phone call to wish me a happy birthday/merry christmas. this is kinda why i never did one to her back. and same goes to my cousin now that she is an adult and all that. i find it funny how she always posts like these gifts she makes for her friends kids,her mom, or like her co-workers but she won’t ever do the same to my mother,my grandfather, myself or my brother.

but yeah here are reasons why we and your other family members can’t visit her, that somehow are excuses 1. i RECENTLY got PTO. i don’t feel like wasting them for a hateful family(minus my grandfather) 2. my moms job, needs WEEKS notice before u can use a PTO day. she can use PTTO days,BUT she already had things planned on what to use them for. she shouldn’t have to not do what she wants, just to please YOU. 3. people get sick. heaven forbid ppl aren’t healthy and aren’t in the mood for travel or talking to u. how dare they? 4. ppl have children to attend to and/or food. the nerve of some people to have a family. 5. they have dogs to feed/attend to. i know, they should either get a pet sitter and hope they come to an alive animal or force it into a crate, or even just to sit normally in the back of the car for 6+ hrs. cuz u know that's not mean to animal, and defiantly won’t cause any stress what so ever. 6. people have jobs. i know its so awful, that people have jobs. 7. doctors appointments. i know ppl should just cancel their appointments and go to u instead 8. school. how dare ppl have an education?(she was always this way, even when i was in school and she wanted me to go up there. i mean granted this was back when she was in Illinois, so it was a lesser drive, but 1. i didn’t drive, and 2. i couldn’t find anyone to do it. but also this is for ppl like in high school/college and stuff) 9. anxiety/depression. considering ppl have anxiety(myself included),i doubt they’ll do well in a car for 6+ hours as well as in a state where they know NO-ONE, is going to be a fun time. and the reason i said depression is cuz depression makes u not want to do things, and i know several ppl on my side and her side have it,so i mean. 10. already having plans. i see so many times by both her and my aunt how they’re sad,cuz they asked a friend to hang out and they said no cuz they had plans. and then they’re upset that they see them with another friend and stuff,and its like. u ever think maybe,just maybe THATS WHAT THEY’RE PLANS WERE? like heaven forbid ur friend has more than just u as a friend. the betrayal that ur not they’re only friend. the nerve.

ironically enough everything i listed here is just like those posts on fb where its like there's 24 hrs in a day and if i don’t get a hi, that shows how important i am to u and stuff like that and its like huh?people have depression/anxiety where they don’t wanna do things/talk to ppl for days/weeks,people have jobs which means ur hours aren’t going to mix, people have children and pets to attend to, people have other friends, people sleep, people get sick,etc. hell i have friends who i talk to on and off for YEARS. and u know what happens when 1 of us messages the other? We say hi and we TALK for HOURS cuz its nice hearing from them again. we’re close friends and just cuz we don’t talk 24/7 doesn’t mean i’m gonna cut them out of my life.

like heck my brother lives in Australia and we don’t talk a lot or anything, same goes for his fiance. we don’t talk on a daily basis, BUT that doesn’t mean i love them any less. they’re my family and just cuz they won’t get on a plan to visit me or vice versa that doesn’t mean he and i going to hate each other. like would it be nice to see them? Obviously. but i’m not going to hold it against him and say he hates me and that i’m going to cut him out of my life. just like i’m sure the reverse could be said. heck i have other family members i have yet to even meet, as we meet via fb so that's our interaction atm and does that mean they think i hate them and vice versa? Obviously not. its kinda weird how out of EVERYONE in my family, the ONLY ones who think my family and i not driving or finding a driver for a 6+ hour drive while they proceed to not drive up here or find a driver or call us means we hate them is my cousin and aunt. so out of like 10+ family members, only 2 of them think this way. that says more about ur character than it does anyone else.

You had been distraught when you thought Jim was dead. How else were you supposed to feel when the man you had just met, the man who was your soulmate, just died because of something you couldn’t even control or predict. 

Of course, Joyce continued to try to convince you that he wasn’t dead. That he had to be alive out there somewhere, but you didn’t know if you believed it. Maybe you just couldn’t believe it. 

You had your soulmate for a grand total of minutes before he died. 

If you thought about it logically, you knew that you would feel it if your soulmate was really gone. But logic went out the window when you thought about the fact that he was dead, that you had lost him just as you had found him. You would never get the chance to be with your soulmate, even if everything had aligned this was how the world had always intended for you two to meet. 

Had the world known what it was planning all along? That he was walking into something that could get him killed? 

You could never forgive the world for that, that they had just given you your soulmate only to take him away. 

Sure, you had your news desk reporter job. Hell, it was just a small time thing. A desk reporter job for a small new station. Or at least that’s what you thought was going on. You imagined it was going to be a way to ease into the world of reporting since it was just the small town of Hawkins--80 miles away from the big city of Indianapolis. 

The night you lost your soulmate changed everything. 

Suddenly Hawkins was country wide news for a time, and as a local news reporter you were on the news practically the whole time. Talking to other field reporters, taking calls from local and non-local syndicates, offering your own piece of mind as someone who had been at the mall. 

The job you assumed was going to be a starter job turned into the job you always wanted, a big time reporting job right from the place you’d just moved. Indianapolis was coming to you live every morning for the first few months of your job, and they even offered for you to move out to the city. 

But you couldn’t say yes. Something was keeping you in the small town that you had just moved to, even though the soulmate you had just lost was no longer there. 

Neither was his daughter, or his friend who had become yours. Though you kept in touch with both of them with phone calls. 

Joyce was still adamant that Jim was alive, and to be frank your resolve was waning. As time passed, you found yourself looking down at the writing on your arm. Thinking to the funeral that there had been for Jim and wondering about everything else. Wouldn’t you know if he were really gone? Shouldn’t you feel different? 

What if he was out there? 

What if he was waiting for you and you stood by the town and hadn’t gone looking for him? 

You got a phone call from a frantic Murray one day as he was packing things up to go to California, and you missed about half of what he said. What you caught was that Joyce thought she had gotten a message from Jim and he was going to help her investigate. 

“Tell me everything.” you found yourself saying, closing the door to your office and listening as Murray spoke quickly. 

“I don’t know if we’ll find him.” Murray said. You knew he was skeptical, but that was just who Murray was. He was always skeptical of everything, especially when it came to the Russians. 

“Be careful.” you replied, suddenly struck with worry for both him and Joyce. “Let me know what happens, please.” A knock on your office door startled you and you looked down at the phone. “I have to go, Murray. Call me when you’re with Joyce, and just...do everything you can.” 

Murray said his goodbyes in Russian, and you’re unsure if that was meant to comfort you or to worry you--maybe a bit of both. Then you sat back in your chair and sighed.

You were distracted with so many thoughts when the knock on your door sounded again, the voice on the other side telling you it was nearly time to get on the air. 

“I’m coming.” you said, but your voice nearly betrayed your emotions. 

Be safe, you said. Find Jim. Maybe there was hope. 

You didn’t hear back from Murray and it worried you more than anything. At least if you had heard from Murray and Joyce maybe you’d be able to sleep at night, a bit worried about whatever they were getting themselves into, but not a single word? You didn’t know what to think of that.

Every time you called Joyce’s house, the number you had memorized, the signal was just busy and you didn’t think she was doing enough telemarketing phone calls to cause all of that. Plus, there was no way that Jonathan was calling Nancy enough to cause that busy signal too. 

Fuck. 

Your worry only grew with everything that was happening in the town. You had to report on murders, but going to the crime scenes you knew that something was up with everything. 

This wasn’t the work of some teenage kid like the town wanted to think, but you were reporting the news and had to keep the town up to date on what was going on with the investigation. You just knew that this was going the way everything had been last summer--but you didn’t know who to turn to to talk about that. 

You didn’t have Jim, Joyce or Murray. Maybe you could find the group of teens, but you didn’t know where they might be. 

You were a journalist at heart, a reporter on screen who needed to know everything. So you took the opportunities at hand and walked the routes you knew would give you clues to help your own reporting. 

Of course, who knew that you would once again wind up walking into the middle of everything--finding the group of kids on the shoreline as you watched the older teens getting into the boat. 

“Shit. That’s the lady from the news.” the curly haired teen, the one you recognized as Eddie Munson who everyone in town wanted to believe was behind the killings, said. “Oh shit, I’m dead.” 

“Chill, Munson. It’s just Y/N.” Robin said, rolling her eyes and turning to look at you. 

“You know her?” he asked, looking at the group of people around him. “Oh, if this is a fucking set up I’m just gonna swim out of here.” 

“If this was a set up, don’t you think I’d have a camera crew or something.” you said, gesturing around to the empty woods behind you and then looking back at everything. “What the hell is going on?” 

“You’re reporting the killings, right?” Dustin asked, looking at you. When you nodded he added, “Any chance you can try to clear Eddie’s name?”

“Well, the whole town thinks it’s him. No offense, doesn’t really seem like you’re capable of that.” You said, looking at the older teen before turning back to Dustin, “So what’s doing the killings then?” 

“It’s kind of hard to explain.” he said.

“You try it, we’ll go look for the gate.” Steve said, pushing the boat off of the shore and leaving you alone with the younger teens and waiting for them to start talking. 

How on Earth you got involved in all of this, when all you’d been doing was really looking for a killer ( of course that killer had to be another dimensional creature ) and trying to distract yourself from thoughts of your soulmate being alive. 

You couldn’t exactly be involved with the kid’s plans for everything, because of everything involved with it and the fact that you had to work. Technically you had to “lookout” for Eddie Munson sightings and interview people about the murders. 

The least you could do was try and shed some light to give Eddie a good lighting, so you convinced his Uncle to be interviewed on air with you. Promising that you wouldn’t call his nephew the murderer everyone else was and only asking for his side of things. 

After your on air interview, you left and went to be at the trailer that was still technically a crime scene--hoping that you could offer any kind of support that you could. 

When you walked into the trailer, you heard screaming on the other side of the barrier and looked up, watching from the mirror view as Eddie and Dustin fought off the bats in the trailer. 

You didn’t even know what to say, couldn’t find the words--you’d never really seen this happen before your own eyes. Last summer you had been ushered out before everything happened. You’d only heard the stories from everyone else. 

Before you knew it, Dustin was climbing back up the rope and falling beside your feet and then calling for Eddie to do the same. But Eddie didn’t listen to reason, to Dustin’s pleading, to anything, he just moved the mattress away from the rope and cut the way down. 

He was giving the more time. 

You didn’t know what to do, because part of you knew that he was sacrificing himself--like how Joyce told you Jim had done. You were stuck, unmoving. 

It was like the world was screaming, spinning, taking over. 

You couldn’t let them lose someone else. Not when you could possibly do something about it. And sure, maybe Jim wasn’t lost technically, but the funeral flashed in your mind and it was like that all over again. 

You couldn’t do that again. 

But damn it, you had to get your feet to move. 

Dustin was ahead of you, jumping through the barrier and landing wrong. You quickly followed him, grabbing hold of anything you could use as a weapon and racing to follow the young teen into what you were certain was doom. 

But this time, you were doing something. 

It was over. You were at the cabin cleaning everything up for El to stay hidden, getting the inside of the place cleaned up and just hoping that everything was going to be okay. 

Max was in the hospital. 

Eddie was in the hospital. 

You were just hoping that everything would be alright, despite knowing that it probably wasn’t going to be just fine. 

You left the cabin and went around back to see if you could find something to cover up the roof, at least for now. That’s when you heard the car pulling up. 

Everything in you worried that it was something wrong, something horrible, but who knew the cabin was all the way out here? 

Stepping out from behind the cabin you looked up and saw Joyce hugging her sons. 

“Oh my God.” you said, looking at her. You didn’t know what you had expected, but Joyce wasn’t on the top of your list. Part of you thought about Murray. Part of you thought about Jim. 

“Y/N.” she looked at you, still hugging her sons and turning her gaze to look at you. She gave you a small nod, and that was all you needed. Something good had happened. 

You turned around when you heard footsteps, and you felt like the world stopped.

There he was, standing on the porch with his arm around his daughter. He was there. He was real and he was alive.

“I missed you.” he said. You knew what he meant, too. Because you missed him, too. Despite not knowing him well, despite having only just met him before he had died, before he vanished, you missed him more than you expected to. 

Maybe the world knew what it was doing with this whole soulmate thing after all, you just needed to trust it.

Why do you like Tamlin despite everything he’s done? I feel like stans will take one look at people who still like that character and outright assume they’re an abuser apologist on sight lmao. So I wanted to know what you’re reasons for liking him are, perhaps to prove that his stans aren’t actually abuser apologists but people who just like a fictional character for perfectly good reasons.

Why I like Tamlin?....

Well, for starters, I fell for him in the first book. I mean who wouldn't? His character just seems so... Ethereal. The protagonist goes in the mystical land of the Fae and falls for their gorgeous king. I mean- u have to agree with me... Book 1 Tamlin>>> other sjm love interests.

He comes off as being kind and gentle and loving even after everything he has been through. He is struggling, evidently but that doesn't stop him from being what people need from him. Especially with Feyre. Oh how I love their chemistry in book 1. They understand each other and their pains. They have so much in common. And like- isn't Tamlin the dream bf every teenage girl wants? He's gorgeous, plays the fiddle, writes poem, takes you aesthetic dreamy places in his kingdom, says things like "don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy" AND THE MF LITERALLY HAS A CROWN OF SUNSHINE?!?

That being said, I loved Tamlin from the very start. So I obviously, didn't love how in acomaf sjm just went "PSYCHE!! Fck Tamlin u gotta love the sexual assaulter now cause I'm obsessed with his bat dick!!"

Like that just made me feel dumb for falling for Tamlin. And I resented that. Everything he did was so out of the blue, his character was up in flames and I was so mad at sjm for doing that to him. And goodness the narration was so whiney and annoying and self centred. It was so obvious that Tamlin was also struggling? That he also needed help. And attention and care. If Tamlin abuses feyre in way of neglect then I hate to break it to you it goes the other way round as well. The narrative that sjm and her stans spin is just so... Gross. Tamlin is the man so he shud suck it up and be there of his traumatized gf. But what about my man?! He struggling too. No one's there to help him! Feyre doesn't wake up in the night and talk to Tamlin when she sees him in his beast form? Then why is tamlin blamed for doing EXACTLY what Feyre is doing???

I absolutely hated that hypocrisy. That made me gravitate more towards Tamlin. The story and narrative itself blurred the line of morality. If Rhysie can be forgiven for SA then why can't Tamlin be forgiven for 2secs of abuse? If Feyre is the victim of Tamlins neglect then doesn't that imply the him too?

But the real reason why I love him is because he is the only character in the entire series that shows growth (positive growth i.e.) Book 2 Tamlin locks Feyre up (same like a certain someone did to her sister, so again line blurred.) and restricts her from making decisions about her own body i.e restricts her from training her powers. Which is reasonable but still, he should have explained the risks to her and then let her decide what she wanted to do. (This in my opinion is the only abuse he inflicted on her cause let's be honest, he said she couldn't go out to villages with him cause he would be distracted with her safety and that is very reasonable! He does not say anything about her going out with gaurds and u mfs be forgetting that a member of the royal family IS infact always under protection.)

BUT on the other hand, book 3 Tamlin, remedies all his mistakes. Feyre IS the queen of the spring court in those few chps of Acowar. She sits in on the meetings. She takes them to survey the wall the twice without tamlin being present there! Her therefore being the supreme authority. He trusts her! He's letting go of his paranoia and ptsd for her!! Like bitches homeboy actually changed himself for his girl like how can u not stan him 😭😭😭😭

AND after everything that bitch does to him Tamlin does everything in his power TO SEE HER HAPPY!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭

He risks his life to save her ungrateful ass in the hyburn camp.

I'm sorry but... Anyone who doesn't wear sjm manipulation glasses can see that Tamlin isn't evil. That he made mistakes. That people are not defined by their worst mistakes especially if they actually work hard and make up for them over and over again.

So yes, I think I speak for most tamlin stans when I say this... We don't love him because we hate Feyre, we don't love him cause we abuse apologists and misogynists. We love him for his complex character that sjm unintentionally created.
